The Fruit Trap captures adult fruit flies, also known as vinegar flies. The trap works by capturing flying insects in search of food in your home. Fruit flies occur almost everywhere, and attracted by human foods, especially over-ripe fruit, fermenting products or decaying fruits and vegetables. Flies lay eggs that hatch into larvae. In the summer, new flies emerge after 8 to 10 days.
